How it Started

In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

Now, Brann’s Steakhouse & Sports Grille boasts 11 locations across Michigan, including our newest location Bay City. Our concept has evolved, but our core values remain the same as they were in 1960.

At Brann's, we've combined our legendary food with an unparalleled sports atmosphere – a combination you simply can’t find anywhere else. Our menu boasts a huge selection of unique flavors while staying true to our roots and the item that made us famous, the 8oz. Sizzling Sirloin Steak. Our sports bar AND our dining rooms house more HDTVs and projection screen than any restaurant or even sports bar can compete with. At Brann’s, we’ve reinvented ourselves as a casual dining restaurant in a sports bar disguise.
